Calling all international scholars! International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) is excited to introduce Found in Conversation, an English conversation circle for visiting scholars and their families. At Found in Conversation gatherings, we will discuss ways to adjust to local culture and language and utilize community resources so that you and your family get the most out of your experience living in Santa Cruz. We will also learn about fun U.S. holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving and their unique traditions. Click on the dates above to sign up!

For International Students! Come together and get to know each other. Snacks are on us! This is the perfect opportunity for cultural exchange, expanding your social network, making new friends, learning about new things you can do on campus and in the community, and having a good time! There will also be someone from Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) present in case you want to discuss topics such as your transition to the U.S., culture shock, homesicness, academic or social stress, relationship issues, alcohol or drug use concerns or any other mental health concerns.
This is a no-pressure, non-judgmental, safe place for you to enjoy tea and talk! No RSVP necessary--just show up!

Take a break and join us on a walk as we explore campus a bit! Enjoy being outdoors and meeting new friends! The Title IX Office provides assistance in resolving and investigating complaints of sexual harassment and sexual violence (sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and invasions of sexual privacy). International students come with unique questions regarding: the UC Policy on Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment, definitions of sexual harassment and sexual violence, and the implications that these policies may have on their future and success at UCSC. Please join us for a workshop, ask questions, and learn about resources and how to keep each other safe while at UCSC.
